The Serenity Prayer
God,
Grant me the serenity
to accept the things
I cannot change, the courage to change the things I can,
and the wisdom to know the difference.

| The serenity prayer has been spoken at every 12 step meeting in the world for well over half a century. Chances are that it is being said, or read, as you're reading this article. The prayer is powerful, embodying principles we set out to follow in order to stay clean, and grow. "Never had we seen so much A.A. in so few words," wrote Bill Wilson. The same can be said for Cocaine Anonymous obviously.
